The 2007 Port Credit Street Party

Come one Come all to the first annual Solmar Lake Ontario 300 Credit Village Street Party... Thursday July 19th.

Sponsored in part by the City of Mississauga and the Scotiabank Group, this evening is intended to showcase one of Mississuaga's finest gems, missed by most people entering the race. The streets of Credit Village will open up their hospitality to the Lake Ontario 300 sailorsfor an evening of entertainment and a tour through some of the Credit Village's finest establishments. Open to all participants in the Solmar Lake Ontario 300 and their guests, this is a great opportunity to get together and join in on the spirit of this great race.

Come by car, train, bus, bicycle, or boat... Participants are invited to bring their boats down to the Credit River Marina for a complimentary evening stay courteosy of the City of Mississauga. Just fill out the Marina Reservation Form and send it in as early as possible. (Please note that, according to the Harbourmaster, at present there is about 6.5' draft in the approach channel. The area in front of the Restaurant is at about 5', so they may have to be selective on deep drafted boats and slip assignments.) The slips will be no charge on the Thursday night for registered boats of the 300. Any further use will incur a fee of $1.25 per ft of boat , per evening.

The first 50 people to arrive at the starting point to pick up their passports will recieve a souvenir T-shirt, so don't delay on getting out for this special evening.

  Credit Village Street Party starting point... From 6PM next Thursday July 19th at the Credit River Marina, first stop will be Snug Harbour Restaurant where you can pick up the passports for the evening. Passports are also available at Masons Chandlery and Port Credit Yacht Club communication office. All participants and guests are welcome to join in the fun and merriment - with or without a boat.

A great evening of fun and some great prizes have been arranged after visiting some of Port Credit Villages finest establishments.
